Did you get a quitter?

I’ve been concerned lately about the number of homeowners out there who have found themselves suddenly without a real estate agent.

Whether the agent has just “disappeared” from a communication standpoint, or has actually quit practicing real estate without a transition plan in place, too many people selling and buying homes have found themselves orphaned recently.

There are many common questions you may need answers to, I’m sure. How does this impact the marketing of my home? What is my business relationship with the broker going forward? Who is handling prospective buyers? Is anyone showing my home?

With your permission, I can help. If you, or someone you know, has had this experience recently, I’d be glad to offer my assistance.

While I’m in no way looking to solicit your business if you’re currently represented and happy, I hope you’ll consider me as a resource if you’ve been left feeling let down and confused by an an agent “Missing In Action.”

Don’t Know How To Ask?

Over my twenty years worth of experience in the real estate industry, I’ve come across several opportunities that just by asking have panned out to be successful endeavors for me. So I’m sharing with you a couple examples of how to reach out to see if someone would like to sell. See example below:

Letter Template

Often we get stuck on how to reach out to someone in order to generate a lead, relationship and ultimately a sale. Here’s a nice template that I have used to turn a ‘cold’ lead into a ‘warm’ lead.

Thanksgiving Letter

Dear Friends,

As November nears its close, and our thoughts turn to the Thanksgiving Holiday, it is my sincere wish that you may gather with friends, family, and neighbors to take a little time to reflect on how much you have to be grateful for, and how grateful others are that you exist in the world.

I know I am very grateful for your confidence and loyalty, and would be remiss if I didn’t sincerely say thank you for your support. The writer Thornton Wilder once said, “We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.”

If you are missing someone this holiday season, my heart goes out to you as well. I think most of us have lost someone close to us, or at least experienced the lonesome feeling when they are unable to come home and celebrate their lives with us. At times I find it helpful to think of the times when they were near and honor them by remembering how lucky I was to have had the time I had. But most often we take time during the Thanksgiving day to Skype and say hello.

Thank you for everything you do and for your presence in my life. May the good life be yours in abundance, not only this holiday season, but throughout the coming year.

Best wishes,

Christie Robertson
